Get to know me
Hi everyone! I'm Ann, a passionate game programmer hailing from the picturesque state of Kerala, India. My journey into the world of programming began in the 11th grade, where I quickly fell in love with the art of coding. Growing up, video games like Mowgli, Lion King, and FIFA served as magical gateways into other worlds, sparking a curiosity about their creation.
My pursuit of turning this passion into a career led me to the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) at Carnegie Mellon University. Despite facing rejection twice, I persevered. Taking a diploma course in game programming to enhance my skills, I eventually found success on my third attempt. The ETC's curriculum, particularly the semester-long projects, resonated with me. During my time at ETC, I engaged in diverse projects, and evolved my interests into developing games, 3D worlds and experiences in virtual and augmented spaces.
My postgraduate journey continued as I delved into the professional realm. I served as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Stream Captain Inc (CaptainTV), contributing significantly to the Stream Raiders team. A 2020 graduate from ETC, I also undertook a co-op with Glorra Studios, LLC as a game programmer intern in my final semester. Unfortunately, the project met an untimely end due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
I believe that aligning one's career with their passion is key to genuine happiness. My journey, marked by perseverance, creative exploration, and a deep love for both programming and gaming, has shaped my professional identity. I invite you to explore my site to gain insight into my specialties, techniques, and professional experiences. Let's connect and explore the exciting intersection of technology, creativity, and gaming!
